Optical head device

Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain a light weight and high accuracy device capable of high speed accessing by eliminating a base of an optical system driver and fitting a support axis and a magnetic circuit means to an optical head main body directly. CONSTITUTION: The focus control is applied by using an electromagnetic force between a current flowing to a focus coil 3 and a magnetic field generated by focus permanent magnets 6a, 6b so as to slide vertically an objective lens support 1 around a support shaft 11 fixed directly to an optical component support member 9. The tracking control is applied by using an electromagnetic force between a current flowing to tracking coils 4a, 4b and a magnetic field generated by tracking permanent magnets 7aW7d to drive the objective lens support 1 around a support shaft 11 to the left and right. The neutral holding of the objective lens support 1 is applied by a neutral holding rubber 5 fitted to the optical component support member 9.
