Amorphous solar cell

Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate production of a solar cell with high efficiency equipment such as a printer and drier and produce the high quality solar cell with a high yield by a method wherein the phosphorus concentration in an N-type amorphous silicon layer is increased and the electrode on a light transmitting plane side is made of conductive paste. CONSTITUTION:After a transparent electrode 2 is formed on a transparent insulating substrate 1, a P-type amorphous silicon layer 3, an I-type amorphous silicon layer 4 and an N-type amorphous silicon layer 5 with a phosphorus concentration of 2-20% are successively deposited and finally a light transmitting plane side electrode 6 made of conductive paste is formed. With this constitution, an internal impedance is reduced and excellent solar cell characteristics can be obtained.
